Quiz on the theme “Bharatiya Democracy in Action”

1. Introduction

To promote the Youth Parliament programme of the Ministry, a dedicated web portal has been developed by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs since 26th November, 2019. Now the Ministry has devised a programme on this portal through which individual Citizens of the country may also participate in an individual capacity in a Quiz on the theme “Bharatiya Democracy in Action”. The purpose of this initiative is to associate citizens of this country with our great democratic values. This programme contains a video tutorial, and some study material related to various aspects of the Parliament of India. After having first-hand knowledge about Parliament and its functioning through video tutorials and study material, one can participate in the Quiz and get a Certificate of Participation.

2. Objective

The objective of this programme is to get first-hand knowledge about the practices & procedures of the Parliament, the Functioning of the Government, and Constitutional values and to encourage active participation of citizens in the democratic processes of the country.

3. Programme and its Participants

The quiz on the theme “Bharatiya Democracy in Action” is for the individual citizens of the country.

4. Participation in the Programme

Any individual citizen of the country may participate in the Quiz on the theme “Bharatiya Democracy in Action” by registering on the portal. Participants may go through the information/learning material available on the portal and then participate in the Quiz of 10 Questions and get a Certificate of Participation after giving at least 6 right answers. A participant, who is unable to give at least 6 right answers, can re-attempt the quiz. The Quiz contains Questions relating to Indian Parliament and its Practices and Procedures, Constitution, etc.

5. Number of Times of Participation in a Year

Any individual citizen can participate multiple times in the Quiz.
